Lamasia met us at a Job Fair held on the Park Morton job site. She had RTA and we instantly signed her up to our Platform. PCC identified education and transportation as her main employment barriers, so we enrolled her in The Chart Academy through the WFLC partnership and encouraged her to begin taking GED courses as well.

Through Chart Academy, she secured an internship with RISE, a program to enrich the community.
When Ashley met us, she was working 4 jobs and making $64,000 a year working 80 hours a week to support herself and her son.
After vetting her and helping her with some soft skills, we took Ashley to get interview ready, buying her work clothes for her office job. After an interview facilitated by WFLC's partners, Ashley got a job at UA.
Bruce was living in a halfway house when he encountered us. We connected him with the MLuis job fair and they liked him from day one. However, his halfway house refused to allow his employment.
The day Bruce was released from the halfway house, he was hired at MLuis. He is now training to be a concrete finisher in order to advance his career options. He has not missed a day.
Jerell is a returning citizen intent upon bettering his life. He has stayed with us despite minor setbacks.
Through WFLC, Jerell gained an opportunity to interview at Carter Site Services. He woke up at 5am for a 6:00am interview, and we ensured he had a ride to drive him to the interview. Jerell was hired that day. He's still going strong.
